Half Shoe Sizes

Question, I just ordered a pair of shoes online. They were a sweet price but I had to order a half size bigger shoe because they had limited quantities left. I normally wear a 10 and these are 10.5. How big a difference is that half size gonna make? Are they going to be way to big on me or will they still fit okay?

Just thought someone on here may have had similar experience with shoes.

I'd say they are half-way between a 10 and an 11...

In all seriousness, if a 10 fits you comfortably I'd think that a 10.5 would be slightly looser but not too bad. If a 10 is normally on the looser side, a 10.5 may be a little big.

I think it depends on the brand. Much like jeans and other clothes, I tend to think that every brand runs slightly different from others no matter what the size.

Most of my shoes are size 13, but I also have a few 14s.

Completely agree about brand and size. This is why I would have a hard time ordering shoes online (or just about any other clothes for that matter other than maybe a t-shirt or sweatshirt).

Example. I always get the same size and brand (Dockers). of casual pants. It makes it easy for me. I never have to try them out..just go to Kohl's and pick them out. However, last time I was at Kohls. I wanted a pair of black pants. They didn't have the size I wanted in Dockers, so I tried a different brand, same size and didn't bother trying them on at the store (Croft and Barrow - I think?). They were 1-2 inches longer than the Dockers. I had to take them back.
