Entourage

The line from Lavin "What did Visanthe Shiancoe try to use it as a cup?" was absolutely hilarious. Aside from that, though the season hasn't been very good.

I think the show has been terrible for a few seasons yet I continue to watch it. What irked me about last nights episode was the 'whoa is me' look Turtle had on his face when he had to wash his cars. They all act like spoiled little 2 year olds who pout when they don't get their way. It's tired. I don't have any expectations as far as moral values or something from the show, but it could at least be entertaining. The writing is just awful.

But I'm the schmuck that still watches it because I've been watchig it from the beginning. I think 'How to Make it in America' is a far better version of Entourage.

I'm right there with you. It's hard for me to stop watching a show that was once really good, because I have this attachment to the characters. I feel like the writing is stale and the same themes and bits keep getting replayed from earlier.

I agree and do the same as the last two posts. Here is my question for you guys: in last season's episode where Ari cleans house at TMA with a paintball gun the best Entourage moment ever?

It lost me somewhere after season 3 or 4. To me it already felt like how Schlitz put it: "I feel like the writing is stale and the same themes and bits keep getting replayed from earlier."

Is Johnny Drama still trying to get work?

Yeah. He's more insufferable than ever. I used to think he was endearing, but he now seems like a delusional jerk with an enormous sense of entitlement.

For me, Entourage jumped the shark this season...the Ari/NFL ownership storyline is ridiculous, IMO.

Case in point on JD still trying to get work. That's sad -- the show used to be really fresh & cool. Really shouldn't be *that* hard to keep good story ideas flowing with all the characters & their environment. HBO usually knocks the ball out of the park on its creative series.

I have watched since season 1. So I feel I have to finish out the series, I would say the last 2 maybe even 3 seasons (counting the current one) have been lackluster. The first 3 or 4 seasons were really fresh, hip and funny. Now I think the writers are just running out of ideas. I wonder how many more seasons they think they can squeeze out of this?

I used to think this was the best comedy on TV. I agree it has lost its edge, but all shows do after a few years. I liked the unpredictability of the situations they got into, the interaction between Ari and Lloyd, and the acting of Drama. Its gotten a little too cliche and predictable, but maybe part of what they're going for is the whole idea that its easy to predict what'll happen when you become a star. I was thinking about how I would have done the show differently and the only thing I think it missed so far is Vince becoming a "hard core" drug user, and I mean hard rugs, not more pot.

Just got caught up on this season. Pretty weak for the most part, but the last episode with Vince taking Sasha Grey to meet Stan Lee and Ari's "situation" with his wife was hilarious. Not to mention E and Sloan's convorsation over the phone with Bob Saget in E's office. Good stuff all around. Seemed like the old episodes.

I will say as thebruce44 said, last week was one of the better episodes in awhile.

And a added bonus was Mrs. Ari, wow she looked very nice.

I usually like my women a little bit thicker(i am a Wisconsin boy after all), but MAN she was smoking hot.

Agreed, I like a little curves myself, but she did look outstanding.

I thought for a second week in a row a really solid episode. Loved the return of Billy Walsh and wanting to have Drama voice a cartoon. Also Vince looks like he is a bit out of control, that final scene was funny.

There's going to be a six episode season 8 after this season, and then a movie, I'm really not sure how that's going to happen with the storylines they have right now.

This used to be a show I looked forward to every Sunday. Now my wife doesn't even watch it after we watch "True Blood" (which has it's own issues), and "The Wire" on Sunday nights. How did I miss the latter when it first came out on HBO? Thankfully DirecTV 101 channel is awesome.

But as far as Entourage goes, it's getting bad. I actually hate E.

The last 2 episodes were outstanding. Back to funny banter and wild exploits.

Mrs. Ari was so hot my wife even said "wow" and that's asking a lot.

I guess Vince in rehab wasn't outside the realm of possibility.
