    Maybe you aren't watching the games so you aren't aware that everything is falling apart after losing the series to the Reds.

    Can't disagree with any of this, its just such a small sample size that I don't know if I would make major decisions like lining up playoff starters based on it.

    Half the runs he has given up on the road came from 2 outlier games. I wouldn't put too much stock into his home/road splits.

    The expectation from team leadership is that a 22 year old SS hustle more on the bases than the 28 year old catcher who plays every day (or needs to be physically removed from the field) and is starting to feel the effects. How is this a problem?

    I stood near enough to Prince in Beloit to know he was 5'8"ish. Anyway, Prince found other ways to provide value to his team that pushed well above the negative impact of his height. Vaughn seems to do the same.

    If you don't like posters using things like 'data" and "evidence" to make their argument, what do you want to see instead? Are there specific stats being posted that you disagree with? Or is your argument that regular season stat's don't matter in the playoffs? If that is the case, how do you want to project playoff success? From what I can tell, it seems like our OF is not really a problem.

    I do think this is an overpay, however, do you really think these two are comparable to the headliner prospects the Dodgers gave up for Skubal?

    There is A LOT to be excited about with Frias, but I'm guessing the lack of speed and defense means he wasn't a priority to keep for the Brewers.

    I'm asking for the opposite of a recent example and actual data on a decent sample size. I believe you that you may have saw some data years ago that convinced you, but that isn't really going to get me to buy in.

    Another conspiracy theory-- The Dodger's will throw the NLCS to us so they can try to keep the status quo for as long as possible. Lose the battle, but win the war!

    Do you have data to back that up? How often do you see MLB pitchers ramping up from 100 IP after age 28 and would there be enough data points to convincingly say there is a difference from a 23 year old? Especially as younger players seem to recover faster.

    I'd say Jett/Adamczewski/Fischer, Sproat, and Adams/Burke/Quero. I would have done it.

    Wait, so what is actually happening here. The reporting has been awful. I saw that he has no return timeline, but then I saw him do an interview where he said it was an old fracture and he wasn't going to miss time. This is like schrodinger's broken toe.

    I don't think anyone is suggesting killing him. I just would have him batting 7th or 8th at this point and give him days off against tough pitchers.

    Yelich should hold a roster spot for as long as he can produce within the other 25 guys on the roster. As it stands currently, I get the idea of letting him hit his way out of it, but does he have to bat at the top of the order and play so often when there are better options on both?

    Can anyone remind me what the typical % of Free Agency price the 4,5,6 years are typically at? I seem to remember something like 30/60/80, so while a team is definitely saving money and not having to commit long term, there is still a cost there.

    Brewers prospects must be eating good this year with all the rehab assignments!

    I like to show my kids the walk offs the next day since they like seeing the celebration and Gatorade bath, but don't have the attention span otherwise to watch more than an inning when Bluey could be on instead. I won't show them this one though, because I had to drill it into the 5 year old this last t-ball season to not throw his bat when he swings. Other than that, I don't really care.

    I think we essentially have a soft piggyback system where our depth can be best utilized by having 3 starters in the pen that can frequently throw 2-3 innings. I would also guess that we do openers more often than other teams. That could skew the data assuming it is not somehow factored in to Sveum's data.

    It would seem to be in his best interest to rehab with the Brewers. I hope they can do another 2 year contract with performance escalators for year 2. It actually might work out decently if there is a work stopage next season.

    Devastated. I hope he can take some time to be a father in the short term and remains in the organization long term.

    Kind of crazy to think that Sterns has been so negatively impacted by one player over the past 5 years between the wall punch prior to the playoffs and then giving him way too much money.

    I feel like that has to be because of infusion of young talent within the season and our tendency to let "established" guys stink it up a bit too long in the first half. This year, I think we will see improvements with the offense and RP, but not as confident on the SP.
