Randall Simon returns to the scene of the crime?

Interesting note from Haudricourt.

The Brewers are holding an open tryout in Arizona on Jan. 13 for former big leaguers and others trying to get to the majors. Simon, a first baseman by trade, will be one of those auditioning, as well former big-league infielder Mark Bellhorn.
Hard to believe it's been 5.5 years since the incident. I'll leave the juvenile jokes to TH.

I don't think they do this anymore, but the Brewers use to hold open tryouts at County Stadium during the summer when I was in high school. By open..I mean OPEN. Basically if you could breath and walk, you were welcome to attend. My friends and I went a couple of times (I think some of us may have even wore cut off jeans - this was the early 80's) and made fools of ourselves. I remember having to make a throw from center field and barely being able to get it to the pitching mound.

Steve Sax and Pete Incaviglia weren't available?
