I kinda like it.

He has a career OBP of .367. He is a great club house guy. And I think the fan's would really love him.

That said, it would have to be really cheap. Because, as mentioned, Brad Nelson will be able to post similar numbers.

Where would he play? Prince hardly misses a game, and Casey doesn't play in the outfield, I'd rather get Doug Meintkewitz, he played 1st, 3rd and outfield for the Pirates last season and had a .374 OBP.

I thought this was such a good idea, I started a new thread on it.

Casey? Mientkiewicz (correct spelling)?

Brewers already have Mike Lamb, Mat Gamel and Brad Nelson, all of whom have or could play 1B and provide more production than these two.

I just don't see Casey being a good fit for the Brewers with his lack of defensive versatility. Lamb, Nelson, and probably Hart and Nixon could also play 1B. And other spots. Maybe, if the Brewers didn't have a platoon at third, they could afford the luxury of a backup 1B / pinch hitting specialist, but a backup SS / middle infielder has to be much higher on their list of priorities at the moment.
