Our daughter did an excellent job at school, so Rachel got 4 tickets to the game! We have seats 439-10-13:16 stop and say hi!
-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

The lineup per TH:

C Jason Kendall

RHP Braden Looper

The game is on TV here which is not a good sign for the Crew since they always lose when I watch. However, fear not, I have class tonight and will not be watching. It is safe to say that the victory is in the bag.

Gamel hitting second is definitely interesting, but his patience lately should serve well there. Please play better defense tonight, Brewers...I don't know if I can handle giving away that many runs again.

That's the best looking lineup I've seen in a while, although I wouldn't mind seeing McGehee in there. Hopefully Gamel can continue to hit and keep up his plate discipline.

I agree. I have a good feeling about this game. If Looper can keep it to 3-4 runs within 6-7 innings I think the Brewers will be able to put up enough runs for him and the bullpen will be able to hold the lead.

Go team go!

I like the idea of Gamel hitting in front of Braun, he should see alot of good pitches to hit tonight, provided he doesn't jump at the the first pitch trash he'll inevitably get.

That botched play from Gamel was no where near difficult. It basically bounced right to his glove. He didn't even need to move more than 2 steps.

And Schroeder goes at it again ripping Gamel for the error. Why does he despise talented young players so much?

Is this supposed to be in blue or does Rock really hate the most of the starting 9? It IS frustrating watching Gamel blow what should have been an easy play.

I think I heard Melvin say it'll be McClung starting on Saturday...not sure if that had already been revealed, but I did not see or hear it before this.

I am not saying the error wasn't horrible. I am saying that worse players like Kendall/Hall/etc. would not be ragged on like BS did to Gamel. And this one just jumped out to me because he constantly will do it to rookies that are talented. Like he has a vendetta against GOOD young starting players because he wasn't one and the less talented vet should be in there.

Yeesh...we don't need another starter on the shelf. Hopefully Looper's alright.

It'd be really nice to get this game, considering that the Cubs and Cards are both losing at the moment.

So what's with all the first-pitch swinging tonight? I get that Blackburn is throwing mostly first-pitch strikes, but all these first-pitch outs are resulting in a ridiculously low pitch count for all the hits he has given up. He's only thrown 63 pitches through 5 compared to Looper's 87. Looks like we won't be seeing the Twins bullpen until Nathan.

This is my fault, right before the HR I told my wife Looper is having a pretty good game.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

I think we're well past needing only one solid starter. We need at least 2. I don't think that's possible unless we trade Gamel or Escobar, which Doug won't, and shouldn't, do. Therefore, I'm pretty sure he won't even bother making a trade unless Parra comes back and dominates to fill one of those spots.

I don't understand putting the #8 hitter on base there. Tolbert is batting a robust .165. Throw the ball over the plate and see what happens...
