What players on Crew are not MLB players?

Let's not put stats out but just say what we see with our eyes.

Bill Hall

Carlos Villanueva

Jody Gerut

Do I really need to say anything?

Overreact much?
Am I overreacting?

Villy has over a 6 ERA. Hall bats under .200 with a .250 OBP and has been horrendous for two years. Gerut is 4 for 38 with 4 singles in his role since he arrived.

All three in the past have shown they to be at a MLB level, plus all three are currently in the majors. Putting those together makes me believe that they are indeed, major leaguers.

Bobskube - please pay attention to this section of the Fan Forum Etiquette guidelines:

  • Following the Brewers means accepting their bad days as well as their good ones. If you want a place to blow off steam by declaring players or team staff worthless when the Brewers play poorly, Brewerfan is not the forum for you. Other sports message boards fill that niche better than Brewerfan does.

This does not mean we allow only praise of the Brewers; but constructive criticism that remains civil and mature contributes more to the overall discussion than saying "TurnbLow SUX!!!11!!" or "I hate this team," or declaring a game "over" in the 3rd inning.

Please refrain from impulsive posts expressing knee-jerk frustration in the form of vents, rants and complaints. If you find that most of your posts take this path, you may want to switch to a forum that's more your style than Brewerfan is.

This thread is clearly a knee jerk reaction and violation of this clause. Thus I am locking this thread.

Villanueva is a major league pitcher. He's just unbelievably streaky, just like 90% of the team. He can't keep being used in important situations when he can't locate his already below-average fastball. Jody Gerut has gotten what, 4 ABs per week? Yeah, he's struggled, but he had success in the league last year and deserves an opportunity to get out of the funk. Besides that, who do you trust to play CF should Cameron get hurt (he doesn't look it, but he is 36 - you have to consider it)? It's hard to argue Bill Hall. Total knee-jerk thread, though.
