Figgins and Santana for Garcia and Crede may be close

Interesting trade, especially for the White Sox, as they could give 3B to the rookie Fields and slot Figgins in center field or use him in the super-sub role.

That would be a crazy deal for the Sox. Garcia has been subpar this year, and as great as Crede has been Santana more than makes up for that loss.

They gave Matthews Jr. friggin' $10 million per year.

 

This would be a steal for the White Sox. They have plenty of offense with Thome, Dye and Konerko. In return they get a jack of all trades and a young pitching stud.

If this happens, shame on the Angels, but beyond that, Pods would absolutely be out of Chicago. I know Konerko, Thome and Dye give them some nice pop, but can you imagine a team going with two guys with that lack of power?
