A coworker and I will be staying downtown Houston starting wednesday evening until friday afternoon, so we'll have two evenings to work with.

Any input is appreciated!

1. Tour Minute Maid Park! Walkup tours are available every day at 10, 12, and 2 (though I'd call to verify).

2. Irma's Southwest Grill - About $15-20/person, but the most amazing lemonade ever (the Mexican is pretty good too)

3. Hubcap Grill - Real tiny burger joint, but really good. Plus, soda in glass bottles is always cool

4. Lucky's Bar and Grill - a few blocks from MMP, but a pretty fun place

5. Discovery Green - A giant park w/ restaurant between MMP and Toyota Center (directly across from George R. Brown convention center). I believe ice skating will be gone by then, but there's always something going on there

6. Bayou Place - loaded with more sophisticated bars, if you're in to that sort of thing

7. Theater district - Always tons of shows going on, and I believe there is a House of Blues down there too.

The Galleria isn't bad either, depending on how close you are. The wife and I went while we were at a conference before Thanksgiving, and it's huge, and lots of fun to kill time in.
