Thought I would start this since I know there are fans on the forum and I have not seen one yet.

Gotta love last weeks ep with the song "Business Time". Also Jemaine's "great" compartment, er I mean apartment.

I really enjoy that show.

You know what time it is when I get down to my socks?

It's Business time baby, that's why they call them Business Socks.

They have a few more songs on youtube that I'm sure will make the show, hope they keep up the good work.

<-- Business Time.

For anyone who's interested, the Flight of the Conchords podcast includes the entire first episode.

(It's the only episode I've seen...which is a brutal reminder not only that I don't have HBO, but that Season 3, part 2 of Entourage doesn't come out on DVD until October!)

I really enjoyed the first episode, much more than I did their comedy special. I'm afraid their humor is that special kind of inane that you really have to be in the right frame-of-mind to enjoy.

Like a free podcast off itunes? It has the entire video of the pilot episode?

That's how I got to watch it.

(I'd post the .rss for the podcast, but that would require me to look it up.)

Hey yeah, I got it off my itunes. That is sweet a free download of the pilot plus they now have episode 4 "Yoko" up for free.

Murray is also great. I love when they have band meetings. "And Murray, here present."

the line that got me the most so far was from the camera phone/mugging episode. The song was while they wandered the snowy streets, and Jermaine's line about shoe companies/sweatshops ("What's your overhead?") had me in tears. It was just so unexpected & unrelated, yet hilariously fit into the song)

I enjoy the show quite a bit... In fact, right now I'm listening to a six part BBC radio show about FOTC and it's pretty hilarious as well. It's available for download at the BBC's site... So far it's worth it.

Definitely love the Flight of the Conchords. I caught their HBO special, probably a year and a half ago now, and I've been trying to find more stuff from them ever since. I was thrilled when I found out they were having an HBO show. I agree with the previous poster in that, I'm not always in the mood for it, it's not really something I can just have on in the background and get casual laughs from (like something on Comedy Central)...it's something I have to actively watch....but when I'm in the right mood, it's gold. Sometimes some of the songs get boring, but they're still good. The band meetings are great, with the Yoko episode being my favorite one to this point. (Was that the same episode as Jemaine going on all the dates with Bret? That was good too).

How long is that BBC special? Can I download all parts from the BBC website? I'll check it out when I get some time.

you all need to watch the "one night stand" HBO special they did 2 years ago. it's them stripped down... it's also all on youtube if you haven't looked at it yet.

i hope to god they extend for another season or two. it's hard to write stuff like that for a second album, because i'd bet they've been writing those songs for a long period of time. just look at tenacious d, they had a masterful debut album, but the movie soundtrack (and the movie) was boring and terrible.

Yeah the Yoko ep was the one when Jemaine went on the dates with Bret and Coco. I liked when Murray said something along these lines in that ep:

"We could have a Yoko Ono situation on our hands. Is she trying to break up the band? Is she into art? Does she like to lay in bed all day? Is she into peace?"

Caught that when it aired. Good stuff, plus they didn't have to stretch material out to cover 20+ minutes per show. Condensed = funny.

I fell in love with them from their HBO special....you can usually find it on some peer downloading programs. I still listen/watch their performance of "Jenny" once a week.

Great ep last night. "DVD, Dub Video Dub."

The whole thing with Murrays computer and the tech girl was good. As well as the whole race war against New Zealanders, when it was really cause the fruit guy thought they were Austrailians.

I loved the HBO special, and I've been really enjoying the series, even though the first couple episodes bugged me because the songs seemed too 'overproduced' or something. the whole lip-synching thing was bugging me. so i don't know if they toned it down or if I just got used to it,.... but it is hilarious.

My favorite moment so far was Jemaine's song to cheer Bret up: 'Bret you got it going on'

I just started watching this show and it is now my favorite show. I think Murray is one of the best charecters ever made.

I agree. I think Bret and Jemaine are great as the main characters. But I think Murray really shines as probably the most popular character in the show. Its awesome that HBO has them signed on to do a season 2. Two episodes left in season 1.

I absolutely love this show. We stumbled upon it during episode 5 during the "Business Time" video, and could not stop laughing. The episode they went on tour was one of my favorite episodes so far. I love "Bowie in Space", "Business Time", and the wife love "Mermaid".
