My 401k went up more than that last year.... 7% isn't a great return if you are looking at investments, especially with everything bouncing back from 2009... (S&P500 went up ~10% in 2010).

Not great last year, but 50% from 2005 to 2011 is pretty darn good, if you ask me!

Yeah, over that span, including the recession, its pretty good. About 9% ROI per year. Probably did much better than his other businesses during that time...

Brandon Beachy won the battle for the Braves' #5 starter.....the 24 year old rookie is having a fine spring: ERA=1.80 ... WHIP=0.80 ... K/9=9.00 ....the Braves optioned rookie southpaw Mike Minor to AAA-Gwinnett (to work on the consistency of his breaking stuff)

 

I mention this because Melvin turned down the Braves trade offer of Beachy for Cain
