Todd Coffey signs with Nationals

Good for Todd. I had a feeling that he'd land on his feet somewhere, and Washington seems like a good opportunity for him. Hopefully the Coffey Clock follows him to the Nats.

It seems like the Nats' 40-man is at about 75 right now. They've signed everybody this offseason.

I was pretty excited the Brewers gave Coffey his old entrance when he came into the game Wednesday. Coffey appreciated it as well;

 

"The crowd was always behind me when I was playing here," he said. "It was really nice and it was really classy.

 

"I've never seen an opposing player get anything like that whenever they come in, so I didn't think it was going to happen. It was a lot of class on their part to do that."

One thing that I like about Coffey is he looks like a dude from Milwaukee. Fat, looks like he could murder a frozen pizza and a 12 pack. I love it personally.

I was at the game on Wed when he came in and this was awesome. I was happy he got a nice applause from the crowd. Way to go Milwaukee!!

My impression was that they were surprised by it being done at all, but I may have been wrong.
