NCAA Tourney (Brackets)

Thought I'd open up a topic for this one. Who are your upsets? Who's going deep?

Also thought I'd get your feedback on this little quandary: part of my pool is that I can choose any team in the tournament and I get paid half of that team's seed for every game they win. Who would you choose?

I have Belmont, Utah State and Clemson with upsets.

In regard to the second part, I'd go with Utah State. They're a No. 12 seed in probably the most open region. I think the safest bet for a double-digit seed would be Michigan State, but they're only a 10-seed. My third choice would be Bucknell as a No. 14 seed.

Utah St. isn't really an upset since they're the better team. This screams of College of Charleston from when I was in HS in the late 90s. Charleston was ranked about 19th in the country, but had about a 14 seed. When they made the sweet 16, many were left foolish for not looking at season rankings

I've watched and paid attention to a grand total of 0 seconds of college basketball this year (like every year) so my finals pick of Syracuse and Kansas St is a lead pipe lock. You can take that to your bookie.

If you think Gonzaga can knock off St. John's (I think they will), they might be a good pick for your office pool. They'd then (most likely) get BYU in the second round, and they're obviously not playing nearly as well as they were a couple weeks ago.

Utah State over K-State. Oakland to the Sweet-16. Xavier to the Sweet-16.

 

Ohio State will win it all.

Can't sleep. Finished up my bracket and I got Gonzaga and Richmond making it to the Sweet 16 with Kansas beating UConn in the Championship game.

I ended up taking Utah state for my "bonus team". I have Texas/Kansas in the final with Kansas winning. I'm becoming more and more happy with my Michigan/Duke upset pick, even though I'll undoubtedly be wrong.

Pitt has one me in as well.. Well at least costing me one of my final four teams. Here's the Ohio st. and N.D. making it to the final. I still can't belive there are 8000 people with perfect brackets on espn still. That seems crazy!
