Posnanski picks Braun for NL MVP

[Matt Breen]

I thought this was fun.

One of my favorite writers, Joe Posnanski, has picked Braun to be MVP of the NL this year. Here's his take (it's part of 'best 32 players in baseball' - he has Braun 10th).

10. Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Brewers

OK, I’ll admit it … this ranking is based a little bit on a hunch.

Braun is a Top 15 or 20 player anyway, but I’m putting him this high

because I just have this feeling that he’s about to have a ridiculous

season. He is my MVP choice for the National League.

He's picking Gallardo to win the Cy Young, as well.

And I'm picking Posnanski for writer of the year. What are the odds?

[BCZF]

I pick Golden Gyro for Gyro of the year....So...so very tasty.....

Well, Braun is off to a good start in the MVP race. He'll have to compete with Rickie, though.

I knew there was a reason I liked Po.

I would have thought Joe Posnanski would have picked YuBet for sure.

Joe did a podcast with Michael Schur and they both picked the Brewers to win the Central.

They have to win a game first.

The Red Sox have no chance to win the World Series if they don't win a game first.

The loss probably did have a large effect on Yo's chances for a Cy Young actually.

This is suppose to be in blue, right?

[endaround]

No, not really. He had a win taken away and while 20 wins is necessary now its still a big benchmark.

[ELCABALLO45]

Since 2006 in both leagues 8 out of the 10 winners did not have 20 wins.

the season is over. when does football start?

I still think Golden Gyro for Gyro of the year is the most ridiculous comment in this thread. Everyone knows Oakland Gyros is the best.
