No Weeks today: Counsell 4 Gomez 8 Braun 7 Fielder 3 McGehee 5 Kotsay 9 Betancourt 6 Lucroy 2 Marcum 1

Looking forward to seeing Marcum pitch again.

[PrinceEatMeat]

I don't see why we didn't just flip Gomez and Counsell. I know Gomez sucks at 2, but you might as well just lead him off in this situation. Why would you ever want Counsell ahead of him on the bases?

[GB12]

I was going to say the same thing. Doesn't make sense.

[ilovebeer]

I love to watch Marcum pitch

[endaround]

That is one ugly lineup

[ilovebeer]

Gomez seems to becoming around.

[razzzorsharp]

Hall has owned Marcum with 5/7 and 3 HRs against him.

[jason21nl]

Gomez seems to becoming around.

Gomez needs to play well for more than just a game before you can say that

[ilovebeer]

Jsonline also said that last night about Gomez. Nice crowd tonight.

He's had a pretty good four-game stretch heading into tonight, but yeah, considering he's had hot two week stretches before tailing off in the past, it's probably a good idea to hold off on the "coming around" talk.

[jason21nl]

ugh...that was crushed by Lee

[WisconsinSportsRule]

Well, umm, this isn't a very good start when you're going up against Myers.

[carniesandrubes]

This game is starting out so ugly, it should be on WMLW...

[thablingster]

Wow Hunter, just wow. LOL

[crewcrazy]

Pretty nice double play turn there by Counsell and Yuni. It's incredibly hard to double up Bourn with his speed...that was just his 2nd this year, and he had 6 all of last year. Only 1 in 2009.

[DocLuna7]

Not a good start to this one.

[PrinceEatMeat]

Well, Marcum isn't very sharp today. Hopefully our offense steps up for him.

[jason21nl]

Sedar has been less than good over at 3rd this year

[Schlitz001]

True Counsell almost certainly would have scored had Sedar sent him, but I like the fact that he's more conservative. No one out with the heart of the lineup coming up, why not hold up. It's better to not get an out.

[jason21nl]

With Lee out there it was pretty much a guaranteed run...but even still..I don't think he has done very well this year

[PrinceEatMeat]

Yeah, Sedar hasn't been great at 3rd this year. But it's his first year doing it, so I'll give the guy a break for awhile.

[ilovebeer]

What was that black marking on Braun's bat?

[ilovebeer]

I still think the Brewers will come back and win this game.

[ilovebeer]

I am glad Marcum has settled down.
