I don't see why we didn't just flip Gomez and Counsell. I know Gomez sucks at 2, but you might as well just lead him off in this situation. Why would you ever want Counsell ahead of him on the bases?

He's had a pretty good four-game stretch heading into tonight, but yeah, considering he's had hot two week stretches before tailing off in the past, it's probably a good idea to hold off on the "coming around" talk.

Pretty nice double play turn there by Counsell and Yuni. It's incredibly hard to double up Bourn with his speed...that was just his 2nd this year, and he had 6 all of last year. Only 1 in 2009.

Sedar has been less than good over at 3rd this year

True Counsell almost certainly would have scored had Sedar sent him, but I like the fact that he's more conservative. No one out with the heart of the lineup coming up, why not hold up. It's better to not get an out.

With Lee out there it was pretty much a guaranteed run...but even still..I don't think he has done very well this year

Yeah, Sedar hasn't been great at 3rd this year. But it's his first year doing it, so I'll give the guy a break for awhile.
