How could Gamel possibly have been out with that high throw that went all the way to the plate, he must have gone long after it was obvious he should have

Gamel you can be twice as bad as McGehee on defense* and still have his job

*I think he could accomplish that while wearing a blind fold

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

If I was RR I'd have a little closed door meeting after this one.

After getting blown out twice by Boston and then laying this egg its time to light a little fire under these guys.

He has to be disgusted right now by this effort.

If you take out the Twins series we have been playing bad for 2 weeks and the Twins are basically a triple A team right now so sweeping them doesn't mean much.....

Gimme a break. They just swept the Twins and this is the 4th inning of a 7-2 game. Time to light a fire? After a 30-15 record since May 9th, going from 4.5 back to being in first place by THREE GAMES and you want to press the panic button after 3.5 innings of a poor outing??? I really don't know what to say.

I have no idea if this stat means anything, or how it compares with anyone else or the "average", but the Brewers have 21 wins in series sweeps. They are 23-35 otherwise, and 6-11-2 in those series.

Who cares about Greinke. Thanks for showing up today.

Now that the game is out of hand, the Brewers will settle in and play decent baseball...

maybe the brewers are just happy visiting Fenway and Yankee Stadium and forgot they have games to be played. Really now looking forward to going to see CC blow though this team.

Baseball isn't like football. Even though the Yanks and Red Sox are better they can still be beaten(as the Pirates showed).

I see this same sort of thing every year in the HS football playoffs. A team will come in to a 2nd round playoff game unbeaten, but they were the champ of a weak league and then they get a little puffed up over beating another weak team in the first round. Then they play a team that won a conference that plays strong football. They are down 21-0 before they know it and facing a running clock the entire second half.
The games are different, but the psychology isn't. Of course these teams are beatable. You have to figure out a way to do it, despite the fact that they are better than you. It happens all the time for lots of teams. The first step is beleiveing. The second step is giving yourself a chance so that you can keep on believing.

encouraging ABs by Lucroy and Gamel tonight.

Down by 5 in the 5th inning is not "out of hand" when it comes to AL baseball. Especially with Freddy Garcia on the mound.

The 2-1 to Rickie and the 2-0 to Braun both looked out of the zone and the Yankees got both calls

Yeah, I felt that Estrada had very similar pitch placement a few times and didn't get the calls. Granted his pitches are coming it a little differently, but still.

The twins lost 15-0 last night to the Dodgers......

its one thing to lose its another to play bad baseball....and we have played bad baseball for the last 2 weeks. Count the errors in this game alone. CM not knowing who was running. Gamel not tagging and then getting thrown out at 2nd. Estrada not even looking at Granderson and allowing him to steal a base uncontested. Wild pitches. Not enough pateince at the plate. Pulling Greinke after 2 innings and burning through the BP.

Its a managers job to have his team ready to play against good teams as well as bad ones.

I'm sure your right and he won't do it but continuing this kind of play on the road is just not acceptable.

I'm fine with RR pulling Greinke. He clearly wasn't going to get it done tonight. Might as well give your team some chance to win. Estrada has proven capable of long relief.
