Why the hell didn't McGehee dive for the bag or throw with the catcher running? Maybe this is a blessing in disguise and Green can get called up.

It didn't look like a misjudge to me. He just fell over.

He fell over because he misjudged it so bad. He tried to stop suddenly and change his course and he slipped.

Meet the new boss, same as the old. This team is a road implosion.

If they don't take this golden opportunity to get Casey out of the lineup, they're nuts.

idiot. It is freaking Posada running down the line. I dont want to see any more of that guy on the field. Bring up Green and be done with it. Ugh!

Geez what horrible defense to start the game. McGehee pulls a Prince going for the unecessary tag and Morgan looking more like what I would expect out of Kotsay in CF.

Yeah that was my take on it. He ran so far back and then had to change directions suddenly and then slipped.

Was anyone even remotely concerned about McGehee missing playing time after that at bat and horrible fielding decision?
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

McGehee seems like a guy who takes this seriously based on his reactions to bad plays and when he looked so relieved breaking his 0-27 slump earlier. RRR is doing him no favors playing him every day or batting him 5th. I'm all for McGehee and I like him, but Taylor Green needs to come up if only to take some of the pressure off.

Agreed. That was a classic case of contributing to your own bad luck. If it was a comparative negligence case the jury comes back at best 50/50 and Plush walks away with no recovery.

Nice to give Greinke a breather after his million pitch first.

*drools* at the gamel batt speed displayed right there.

I like McGehee too but yeah he really shouldn't be playing everyday or hitting 5th. I like his "everyman" persona but sometimes hard work can only carry you so far when you don't have as much talent. Who knows, maybe he is just putting too much pressure on himself. I don't see how having Green come up wouldn't be anything but a plus.

It seems like Gomez and Morgan both sprint back on most fly balls because they play so shallow. Morgan did not misjudge it, he stopped in the right place and just fell taking what should have been 2 easy steps to the ball. I watched the replay 5 more times and I still think Morgan didn't do anything wrong, he would have caught it easily if he didn't fall over.
