2011-07-05 Diamondbacks (Duke) at Brewers (Wolf) - [Brewers lose, 7-3]

Roenicke just boggles my mind. In every pre-game scouting report he always gives stats about the opposing pitcher. Like tonight against Duke he said "Duke is really tough against lefties, so we're getting as many right handed bats in there as possible." Now I have no idea if that statement is accurate, but how come he doesn't use that logic for the Brewers pitching? Does he think Loe is in a career long funk?!

At least with Casey I still have a glimmer of hope he has the talent to turn it around. But the bottom line is: The Brewers cannot win the Division with Yuni in the everyday lineup. He brings terrible range and no bat to the team.

Doug Melvin is who boggles my mind. Betancourt had a .288 OBP last season, and yet Melvin thought he'd be OK as a starter because he hit 16 HR's...

He is THIS YEAR. Over his career he has what looks to be typical platoon splits.

Not a surprise to anyone who heard KC Royals fan Rob Neyer say after hearing of Yuni's trade to Milwaukee saying something to the affect of the Brewers will be best served as a franchise the sooner they rid themselves of Betancourt.

Sounds like a guy who has suffered through many excruciating Yuni AB's and horrible defensive range. He no doubt would agree that Yuni is one of, if not the worst, MLB player.

Whatever. I'm done until something changes with this team. We're not a playoff team and we'll be lucky to even have a winning record the way we're playing right now. Mark A needs to do something.

ha, nice pitch to Upton... cause he stinks and you can groove FBs belt high middle in to him.

Wolf has been surprisingly good over the last 20+ starts, but he's tough to watch when he's not locating.

edit. Cripes, now the same pitch to Parra and another HR.

Start with the entire bench. Half of the bullpen. Our starting 3B and SS. And go from there...

This is the kind of outing I always expect from Wolf so the fact that he has been much better than this all year makes this easier for me to take

Thank you for mentioning Atlanta, BA. They are the easy wildcard winner this year. Everyone else is just fighting to win a division and hope they can win maybe a game in the playoffs. Win two and you've set a 5 year high in this division.

Man, I feel bad for the fans there. Already losing 7-1 in the 3rd and they're probably roasting in there with the roof closed.

You forgot to mention Melvin and RRR. They can all go...and in a real freaking hurry.

Can I at least make it through dinner and a beer before I have to turn the game off?

Sure. You can look at it as enjoying a Comedy over dinner.
