2011-08-13 Pirates (Correia) at Brewers (Estrada) [Brewers win, 1-0]

[hawing]

As I suspected, I saw virtually none of this game - which announcer-wise sounds like good news for me. I did see Casey's bases-loaded backwards K in the 7th, and the 9th inning leadoff triple. So, how did Ax wiggle out of that?

Kudos to Marco. Really. I guess thablingster knew what to expect when he posted Estrada's photo in the magic number thread the other day.

Don't let up, Brewers!

Down go the Cards. Lead stands at 5.

Next two batters grounded out to the drawn-in SS and 2B, respectively, so the runner had to hold. Ax came very close to striking out the next batter - wasn't given a couple close ones with two strikes and ended up walking him - but then got the next guy swinging.

Each of those grounders came on the first pitch of the respective ABs.
