1-0 for Wednesday, Brewers! I'd love to see some V-for-victory signs, turtle doves and Bill Hall images later this afternoon.

I'm really starting to hate FSNWI's production/broadcast team. Schroeder rarely criticizes the team, especially when it's obvious. Sometimes he flat out lies (McGehee is better defensively than Green and Yuni is average defensively). Telly constantly fumbles with his words. Davey Nelson is another who doesn't seem to grasp the English language. For some reason, FSN loves alliteration and forces it in their pre-game with stupid stuff: Augie's Angles, Rillo's Rants, Nellie's Nuggets. They sound stupid and are unnecessary. Now they are auto-tuning Schroeder's voice and trying to turn sound-bites into dance music. And they are talking about Augustine's sleeping habits. Counting sheep to fall asleep? Really?

/end of rant
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Garza looking strong today. That 3rd strike to Prince was 95 MPH and had some pretty nasty tailing action on it.

And we give Yuni a lot of crap, but that was a hell of a relay he turned to nail Castro at third. Good throw by Braun, but Yuni turned and got the ball out of his glove incredibly fast and whipped the ball right to the bag.

P.S: Oh, CB Bucknor, that 3rd strike to Rickie was not a strike.

Ok, time to hurry up and clinch so Wolf can rest his now bruised arm.
I'm just now starting to follow Gameday. Bruised arm? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

I think Hairston should have had that ball, should have been out of the inning without runs. Can we please hit a few wind aided HR or 2b please? The wind should help both teams, start hitting it up there Brewers. Gotta find a way to get some runs and win this game. Garza is looking pretty good out there today. Throwing hard and hitting the corners (and off the corners for strikes).

Hairston may have missed that one at 3rd but besides that he's had some solid plays. As brwersfan said, we need to get some up into that jet stream and start knocking ole Matty boy around. Go Mets, I don't want to mess around, just get the division clinched and done with.

Can somebody tell me what happened on the fly ball to Morgan that just scored two runs? Uecker said "inning should be over". Thanks.

He went back on a ball and was fighting the sun. The wind exasperated things and the ball ended up dropping maybe 2 feet to his right off the wall.

I only have Uecker myself, but it sounded like Nyjer misjudged the ball. Could have been the wind, could have been Nyjer, maybe some of each.

It looked like a combination of sun and wind. Nyjer appeared to be under it while obviously battling the sun, but then it dropped a few feet to his left.

It's not often you see Braun out by a country mile on a GIDP, but he hit it so hard that the second baseman could've walked it to first base.
