So I figured since there is no thread for this that I would create one. I'm a bigger fan of the HR Derby than the All Star game itself.

I agree, the HR derby is always a good time. Bautista had a nice run with 9 outs.

I probably won't watch the whole thing, but I'll be rooting for Prince to get another win.

Is Andrew McCutchen a power guy at all? I usually think of him as "the speedy" Andrew McCutchen (as I do with Michael Bourn, and used to with Nyjer Morgan).

To be fair, McCutchen took Stanton's spot--although McCutchen somehow has 18 HR this year.

 

The field is definitely weak this year, it would have been nice to have Adam Dunn or Hamilton or both in there.

At least Prince had the two longest shots. I think a Prince bomb is my favorite thing to watch in baseball.

And that is why Matt kemp doesnt belong in the HR Derby. Braun should have been in it instead.

He did hit 2 in the fountain. And somehow he still has a great chance to move to the next round with his 5.

That was awesome. Mostly because like the Arizona fans, these KC fans are right. There should be a hometown guy in the derby. Butler would have been great to see.
