That is why people have voted for Yuni B. He represents that vote. ;)

Who can say no to this smile?

Sources: Michael Young has interest from four teams, decent offers, but is strongly considering retirement.

Reading between the lines, Brewers probably were offering him part time pay and telling him they'd like him to platoon at 1B. Reality, Brewers were likely posturing to get him to agree to modest deal, knowing full well that Francisco might play his way off the team in 4-6 weeks leaving 1B job primarily to Young, assuming he puts up .280/.330/.400 numbers they figure he's capable of at this point and barring a hot start at AAA by Morris.

Young would have essentially replaced Betancourt on the Brewer roster. He's no great shakes but he's at least worth a couple wins over the 2013 version of Yuni.

I don't see how Young agrees to a deal in Milwaukee when he clearly states that he wants to spend more time with his family in Arlington. He sure doesn't need to play a year on a team in a platoon at a unnatural position, that's just trying to rebuild.

Looks like it will be Juan Fran (24 votes) or Mark Reynolds (0 votes).

Sean Halton should be high on the list. When Francisco and Reynolds show that they are big strikeout busts at the plate, he seems like the natural choice during a rebuilding year.

So the question now should be: How long will the "Oooooooooo...." last before its replaced by "Ooooooo Nooooo!"?

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Lyle Overbay it is.

That would be fine expect most pitchers are RH, are you really suggesting O should be the larger half of the platoon, or should be part of a regular platoon in the first place?

I'm not suggesting anything that should happen. I'm pointing out what did.

Yeah, looks like straight platoon. I think that at this point Reynolds is the better player and should play more often, but he'll probably end up getting 20% of the starts unless Overbay proves to management that he's completely washed up. That would take something like an 0-for-50 stint. Let's just hope that everyone else plays well so it won't be as big a deal if we have limited production from 1B.
