Pitch selection looking horrible again today as it has really all season. Gomez watches two that he could have drove go by his thighs to get to 0-2, then swings at one that lands in the opposite batter's box.

Listening to the game. The Brewers sound REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad and unbaseball like.

 

It is a bit like yesterday. It seems to be some watershed has taken place. Sometime in the last three days the Brewers, en masse, have really changed their approach - or maybe intensified their approaches. There was an article the other day with RRR saying was happy with the aggressive approach. Lord knows how that translates into taking fastballs down the can and flailing at ball bouncing in the dirt.

 

I sure hope the team decides to go back to playing baseball. Not this 'cool, bravado' style.

Yep, this is really hard to watch. Ramirez and Reynolds run into each other and the ball drops. Maldy's throw to second goes into centerfield. Gomez bobbles a ball to allow runners to advance. Segura drops relay throw that would have gotten a runner out. Gennett had a bad throw to first (out still made). So far Davis and Braun are the defensive MVPs by catching routine flyballs.

I am not liking Mark Reynolds..........AT ALL! Hated the signing to begin with, unless he hits one out, he is worthless...

 

And as I am typing, another ridiculous base running mistake.

It is absolutely mind boggling to me that we are ahead in this game right now.

I think the entire mojo of the team is they are a little too big for their boots. Scooter may be the best player for the next four years, because he knows he is not good... he can only work, work, work. Work, work, work on average tools can be good.

 

The out at home is another example (this one on the coaches)... instead of playing baseball pitch by pitch they need to force everything. Honestly, baseball is so, so, so not complicated.

It seems as though they have been taught it is ok to make stupid base running mistakes.

 

You can't punish the players if the coaches aren't punished. (This one is on Davis, but maybe he just expected to be sent since there are no set rules as to when we will run or hold up...)

 

This has been going on since RRR got here, so it is the norm. The only way it can change is to hold people accountable, including players, coaches, AND managers.

 

I am sooooooooo sick of the same stuff night after night with no improvement.

 

Just gets old.
