Yes, clearly, he didn't get it done. And clearly, he didn't get tired after they jumped him up an additional 65 innings in 2012 over his previous career high and had him run completely out of gas down the stretch -- where he had an ERA over 7 in September.

My memory is of a guy who looked outmatched when we needed him most. My memory of him was of a guy who looked like he didn't belong on a major league roster.

And this is why you shouldn't trust your subjective memory.

Rickie- ick. Braun, might not be a strike but it is tonight, swing it.

True, the umpire is calling that a strike but as a hitter that has been in a slump he is trying to swing at strikes

Garza is tossing a nice game. 7 IP, 2 ER. 92 pitches.

Wouldn't know it by reading the posts calling for his head.

Yeah, he's been great this year. Wait...never mind...

The last 7 games the starters have a 2.72 ERA. That's wild, because it just seems like we haven't been pitching good lately. Just goes to show you that perception =/= reality.

Did Garza pull himself? Kind've looked like it. If so, smart move with Smith being lights out vs. Lefties.

I was talking like in a hypothetical situation where the Brewers hadn't signed Garza. That being said I'd also still stick with Estrada for the time being. People overrate Nelson who has a couple huge flaws in his game, and undervalue the sustained success Estrada has had as a starting pitcher the last couple years.

Which are?

He still hasn't developed a useable changeup which will lead to big platoon splits, and he's had constant trouble with control throughout his development. It's not hard to see why many see him as a future bullpen guy because he's going to need a couple things to go right for him to be a major league starter. I see him as a Wily Peralta with a worse FB(both velocity and movement) and a slightly better breaking ball. He's far from a lock.

Great. I bet we split now. I hate blowing chamces to extend division leads.

Get kinzler off this club this is at least 3 games he has single handedly cost the brewers by himself.
