Former Brewers catcher. I always liked him as a back-up catcher, but apparently he's bad at playing catcher because he has been on a million teams in the past few years despite being a guy that took his walks and hit for good power.

We could certainly use his bat coming off the bench. We have no bench. Like Lohse was, our best bench player is a pitcher.

I was just going to comment on this. This roster development stands to put a dent in the emotional value I placed on my game-worn Kottaras 2011 jersey, which is from the NLDS.
