All the things we've stressed in the past -- proper meals, training, convenient housing, better supervision.

 

Could be used for the Maryvale rookies all summer long, and the Helena kids already in the system from March until June.

 

If/when the Brewers leave Maryvale, this has to be part of the enticement process.

This is awesome. It's the kind of forward thinking a club should have. Instill pride in the organization, help kids through the tough transition into pro ball, healthy food, etc. Such as smart thing to be doing.

The Brewers are pushing rather hard to leave Maryvale and it seems as though once a new spring training facility can be built and finished they will be leaving Maryvale. This is the vibe that I have been getting and it is either going to be in Peoria or in Scottsdale.

The equally crazy thing is that the Twins are only paying for 15% of it. They couldn't contribute more than $8M to developing their own players?
