Even with trading at least Parra/Lind they can still be entertaining and competitive to finish the year. Davis will be ok in left to replace Parra, but 1B will be the black hole it's been the last few years. If more gets traded than just them and K-rod it might start to look like April again.

Parra out of the lead off spot with be a huge black hole as well. The team turned around in large part to ARam getting hot, Jungmann becoming an ace, and Parra to lead off. ARam and Parra will be gone and that will be very tough to replace.

 

But this is an optimism thread, so the good news if they are traded is Davis will be Krush again.

Today is the last start for Lohse, right? Peralta takes his spot. Garza back on track. No more weak links in the rotation.

The Brewers are 17-7 in their last 24 games. It’s the best record in the NL since June 23rd.

 

In July the Brewers offense leads the NL with 97 runs. They also lead the NL in Hits, HR, BA, OBP, and SLG.

Last night's win assured the Brewers of their first winning month since June of last year and the first back to back months of .500 or better since Aug-Sept of 2012!

Through injuries, trades and other turmoil, they are still .500 since June 1st (72 games).

Is it optimism to point out that the Brewers look like they are in their way to NOT finishing with a top 10 draft pick? Passing teams left and right.

They'll get a top 10 pick. They're much closer to #30 (3.5 games) than they are to #20 (6.5 games).

Yeah, they are horrible and pretty much playing the month of September on the road. I am still optimistic for top 5.
