I'm not opposed to trading for Singleton but there would have to be a lot more for me to include Gomez. I still think Singleton can be a great 1B in the big leagues... His struggles aren't that much different than Anthony Rizzo when he was first brought up the majors. You just gotta trust your scouting department and hope he can make some adjustments.

How is battling .267 last yr at AAA similar?

 

He put up a .397 OBP and .941 OPS with almost as many walks as strikeouts (42 BB vs. 52 K)... [sarcasm]Guess they should have sent him down to face teenagers in A+ in order to raise his prospect stock.[/sarcasm]

AJ Reed was just pulled from his game with Corpus Christi.....could be something, could be nothing.....and Singleton has very little trade value around the league with his history. Remember this is a guy who has bragged about drinking an entire bottle of liquor each day for several years....

 

Personally I think AJ Reed has 20 times more trade value than Singleton if I may hyperbolize.

Illness for AJ Reed. No trade. I really don't want the Astros going after Upton. A pitcher is really what they need.
