Most exciting play to see?

Whats the most exciting play to see?

Your SP recording the final out of a ho-hitter

Your #3 batter winning the game with a walk of grand slam (you were down by 3)

Your RFer nailing the would-be tying run at the plate from deep right...preserving the 1 run win on the road in the bottom of the 9th

Your CFer scaling the wall and taking away a grand slam in the top of the 9th and preserving the 1 run win.

The no hitter easily. The build up of probably 5 innings would be pretty intense. Then for your pitcher to actually do it would be crazy as a Brewers fan. We never get the no hitter luck. The winning grand slam comes in second.

The other two are more avoidances of bad plays...so you will probably be happy it is over not jumping around the living room in excitement.

The gane winning HR without a doubt. Most no hitters the game isn't on the line and you felt you were going to win for most of the game. Not having any hits is usually just a few lucky bounces.

When you are behind late and still win it is he most thrilling part of the game imo.

From the late great Jerry Coleman, this would for sure have been the greatest play to see, as well as the most tragic/comic:

“Winfield goes back to the wall, he hits his head on the wall and it rolls off! It’s rolling all the way back to second base. This is a terrible thing for the Padres.”

I'm guessing Jim Edmonds would say the last one. ;)

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

When I read the title of this thread, I was just thinking most exciting play in general (not to end a game). I would put the final play of a no hitter at the bottom, unless maybe it's a great play. The last out of a no hitter is more about the pitcher's achievement in general..the play itself may or may not be "exciting". The other three are all equally exciting to me with maybe a slight nod to the two defensive plays.

To me, plays at the plate, diving plays, robbing HRs, and other great defensive plays are the most exciting in baseball.

I think this one would become more exciting if the grand slam came from a bottom of the order hitter or from someone who hit homers infrequently.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

My seats are on the Loge level, behind the screen, so I'm going to say the RF throwing a guy out at the plate. The play would be right in front of me, the dugout is right there and guys would be pouring out, and the celebration would be right there.

Generally speaking, I'd say the CF making an over the fence catch. Gomez vs. Votto, the Endy Chavez catch, the Red Sox play with the cop raising his arms. . .those were truly spectacular plays. But if I were in the park, they would be so far away to truly grasp their greatness.
