much deserved---he would have probably lost out to the likes of Snell and Berrios if they hadn't been promoted, but nonetheless, he has clearly established himself in a big way this year.

 

Brewers Pitcher of the year Honors are likely to follow...

I'll be very disappointed in the Brewers if they don't call Lopez up after Biloxi finishes up the playoffs, even if it's just an inning or two out of the bullpen. The kid (and his kid) have earned it.

I'm all for rewarding a guy for a great minor league season who wouldn't otherwise see a major league roster like say a Nevin Ashley, but Lopez has elevated himself to near the top of the list of guys I see in the opening day rotation in 2017. No need to start any clocks for him until 2nd half of 2016 at the earliest.
