Tonight's pitcher is Luis David Perdomo. He's the second Luis Perdomo to pitch for the Padres. Luis M. Perdomo appeared in 36 games for the team in 2009–10.

Peralta with another one of these Roll Eyes starts. 4doubles already in 6outs. 3-2 Padres. Lets send him down already. Tell him he'll get called back up when he's pitched to under a 3ERA 21IP or more. May just finish the entire season in the minors the way he's going.

Santana has looked kind of lost at times this year. Almost disinterested. I didn't feel that way last season. I wonder if he's afraid of making mistakes or something.

Seriously send him down and hold him there til he earns starts again. His Service clock wouldn't add another year and say he pitched in September well, Can be dumped off to another team. He's certainly lost all trade value for this half of the season.

Regarding Domingo Santana defensively...totally agree. Haven't seen one ounce of that "great" defense he has. Not even that strong arm everyone touted.

Why? Have you ever looked at a MLB bullpen? That is what they are made out of. A bunch of guys with big arms that could never figure out off speed stuff consistently. If Peralta doesn't turn it around maybe he can find a success in the bullpen. Though his stuff has seemingly fallen off after last years injury I'm not so sure.

Difference between Wily was supposed to have far better upside to have a high spot in the rotation, not a Davies or Anderson type just filling out the bottom of the rotation.

 

Guys like Nelson and Peralta are crucial to how long this rebuild will last. Guys like Davies and Guerra can be replaced easily.

If you have DVR, go back and look at the first pitch to Nieuwenhuis. Tell me that's not one of the worst called strikes you'll ever see.

Because a Scrub in the Minors living the ML treatment and who desires to reach the ML level is worth sending Wily to the Minor League bus treatment, hotel arrangements and that lacking lifestyle to maybe give him some incentive to improve on his performance to get back to the ML treatment. He's only had a 3game stint in the minors since September of 2012 for Rehab. There's been nothing to suggest to him he will have any repercussions for any poor pitching. Keeping him down long enough to effect his service clock? Hey Wily, you've got to wait another year to reach Free Agency you bum. Yeah maybe him understanding that or wanting to change that life will light a spark to find himself.

Colin Walsh reminds me of this kid on my HS team where he sucked so bad, but got walked/HBP every other at-bat. It's like he he has a force field to deflect balls out of the strike zone.

On a scale of 1-99 Jonathan Villar's clutch rating is a 1. That dude is a choke job every time he has a big at-bat. That is the third time now I recall him striking out in a huge spot with the bases loaded.
