MUST-SEE MOVIES

DVD Purge

Slowly making my way through the D's...

The Dirt - I'm an 80's metal guy, so this was a must to add to the collection!  - Keeper

Distinguished Gentlemen - Eddie Murphy at the height of his super power days!  This is nowhere near his best stuff, but still a good watch - Keeper

DOA - Fell in love with Meg Ryan to this movie back in the day!  Still holds up,,, - Keeper

Doc Hollywood - A nice, feel good flick. - Keeper

Dodgeball - Lots of funny stuff here.  I could dump this one, but why would I? - Keeper

Dolores Claiborne - A Stephen King adaptation that is pretty damn good!  Not as good as Misery, but if you like his stuff, this is a good one.  A lot of his stuff is not truly horror, like this one.... - Keeper

The Doors - This movie sucks, it has always sucked, and it sucks that I still had it in my collection and wasted another 2 hours of my life watching it again.  Val Kilmer does an awesome job as Jim Morrison, and Meg Ryan was also great, the movie itself was crap.  GONER

Double Jeopardy - Like this one, always have, and Ashley Judd was quite handsome! - Keeper

The Weight

Excellent movie, one of the best movies I have seen in a while, just excellent!

I was amped up earlier this week after working late until 11, so I put on The Searchers (a comfort film I haven't watched in forever) to wind down. I ended up staying up until 3 to finish with a couple pauses. I think this is one of my top 5 films and I need to watch more John Ford.

Tiny Fugitives

An ok movie, some funny parts, but there is always something about overly vulgar preteens that seems exploitive.  Their language is downright dirty a majority of the time.

I enjoyed it, but it's not one that needs to be seen in a theater.

On the Sci-Fi scene

Project hail Mary was pretty good.

Disclosure Day was half good. One of the more dumb endings I've seen in a while. Basically like they got 2 hours in and decided that's enough and we'll just stop there.

Totally agree on Disclosure Day.  Good flick right up until the ending...

Heart of the Beast

I liked this one, quite a bit actually...

Verity

Also enjoyed this one.  Reminded me a lot of the 90's early 2000's movies with twists and turns, especially the ending.

I've been excited for Street Fighter since I saw the first preview earlier this summer. I just have to find a time to go see it. Between baseball, parenting (running children to and from events) and everything else, I want to go see it in the theater because it looks like a silly fun popcorn movie.

Digger

Wow, what a strange movie.  The acting was superb, and I can't see Cruise not getting some big awards for this one.  It's a roller coaster ride of a movie.
