Going into today's game with a different attitude.

Going to sit back, enjoy one of the last few games of the season and reflect on the fact that we are still playing meaningful baseball on Sept. 23rd. As has been said a million times, no one would have thought this was going to happen!

If we can scrape out a win vs the Cubs, that will only make the day that much better, if not, it's still baseball season, and in January, I'll wish we still had the opportunity to see live baseball.

National Fox Game of the Week today and there are too many Cub fans out there in the stands.

Suter had a quick first inning and we are off.

Why in the world are we pitching to Happ with the pitcher on deck?????

That would have put two guys in scoring position. Even with a pitcher you don't take that chance early in the game. You don't get the pitcher out and all of a sudden you give up a 5 spot.

John Smoltz is so right. Starters need to pitch at least 6 innings every time out. He's old school and I so agree.

Bullpens are overly taxed nowadays.

In the radio booth, Jeff Levering is throwing wonderfully professional shade at the Cubs' being able to apparently do whatever they want: take a while to decide on a challenge, change their mind and not lose said challenge, leave the batter's box whenever, etc.

Good hustle by Phillips. Like this kid.

LOVE this kid!

He keeps playing like he has, Brinson might be the guy on the trade block when we need to make a big splash, unless Phillips or Brinson can play LF and Braun gets moved. (highly unlikely)

Very quiet game thread today, I think people are recovering from the past 3 games... Buddy of mine refuses to turn on the TV today, says he can't take another one of "those" games.

Unfortunately this has the looks of exactly another one of "those" games.
