Nathan Eovaldi?

Apparently he's drawing a ton of interest. I'm guessing the Brewers have kicked the tires. What would you pay to get him?

MLB Trade Rumors is predicting 4/60, I think that's pretty risky for his injury past. I'd be comfortable with 2/25-30, but don't think that would get it done considering what other teams are showing interest.

I don't think he'll get 4 fully guaranteed; the injury history is too much. He's seemingly figured out how to get more whiffs with his tantalizing velocity and has excellent control so I'd love to have him but the risk is too much imo for what he's going to get.

It's a tough one, he might end up being the best FA pitcher in this year's market when it's all said and done. Also wouldn't cost draft pick compensation. They could try and get creative with a deal to offer some protection while giving Eovaldi some opt outs should he actually pitch a full season injury free. On a straight deal I'd offer 2/30. If I was going to risk money I guess I'd do with Donaldson or Kikuchi instead but I won't be disappointed if the Brewers land him. He won't get a franchise crippling deal.

He has kind of a funky delivery so I can see why he'd maybe have elbow issues

Eovaldi could help every team in the MLB.

I don't think the Brewers have the financial flexibility to take the risk on a 2x tommy john surgery guy at his predicted contract.
