Does this exist?

Is there a stat that keeps track of if the team wins/loses for each starting pitcher, regardless of if they get the decision? For example, today Davis started and didn't get the win...but the Brewers did win.

 

Just curious. Seems like there's a million baseball stats that exist.

I don't know who keeps track of the stat, but I remember during the "great" Kinny v. Franklin debates, that it was frequently busted out in support of Franklin.

 

Ahh... those were the days. I used to get such a kick out of reading people's passionate defenses of some really craptastic players. I'm glad those days are behind us. (crosses fingers)

Brilliant answer. Yeah, Clancy clubbed us all to death with that stat for an entire off-season. If you want to find those stats, ask him which site (s) they come from.

I just go to a player's ESPN Player's Card and click on "Gamelog". They list each of the pitcher's appearances and what the result was.
