The Giants just DFA's Matt Wisler, nice solid numbers for swingman type of pitcher.

 

The last 3 years he's averaging 11.6 K/9, 3.33 K:BB ratio, less than a hit per inning. He does give up too many homers but a better pitcher than what the Brewers currently have in Yardley, Richards or Milner.

He might be better than the current back end but he walks a lot and gives up the HR ball, has always had bad results except for last year. Would pass quite honestly.

Missed opportunity as the Brewers pitchers are sure to hit some innings limits this year and have a need for more arms.

 

Although it looks like Tampa gave up a nice minor league pitcher in return, so maybe the cost was too rich for the GM’s blood
