Low-A Carolina needs a win to claw back to .500 on the season and take a 2-1 series lead over Fayetteville at home this week. RHP Miguel Segura (4.41 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, 8.1 K/9 in 49 innings) will make his 15th appearance (8th start) of 2022. C Jeferson Quero is ready to cap off his excellent month (.936 OPS in June) with a flourish:

21-year old RHP Israel Puello (5.51 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 61/17 K/BB ratio in 49 Low-A innings) makes his High-A debut at home for Wisconsin against a formidable Cedar Rapids team. Offensively, the team welcomes back SS Antonio Pinero for the first time since a May 25th injury:

The Shuckers have won 3 consecutive 1-run games and will try to take a 3-0 series lead at home against the Braves. LHP Nick Bennett (5.40 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 7.3 K/9 in 56 2/3 innings) gets the start tonight. 1B Thomas Dillard gets hotter each month (.641 April OPS, .719 May OPS, .842 June OPS):

The DSL Brewers 1 were suspended at a 6-0 score in the bottom of the fourth (no outs). It would appear that 3-game feel good streak has some work to recoup it's mojo.

On the other side of things, the DSL Brewers 2 win 5-1 as every batter in the line-up grabs at least one hit. Back above 0.500 at 10-9 overall.

Speaking of DSL, let's get some of those choice Brewers Player Development Twitter 'feel good' going!

I touched on Alexander Vallecillo's 18:1 k:bb ratio of late. Well, Kevin Briceno says "Hold your megaphones, Sir!"

AND, for all of us Luis Lara enthusiasts (we're kind of a herd here in the Fanatic tribe if we're being honest):

Lots to like in that Lara swing there. ?

Ethan Murray helps Israel Puello escape his first inning unscathed with an absolute web gem diving stop and throw out from second base. Previous to that stellar play, after a lead-off plunked batter (gotta get the nerves out, man) Israel managed a strike out and Darrien Miller managed the throw em' out at second base.

This just in: Since his IL return, Darrien has been much better defensively and throwing. This is a big development and one I'll watch this second half.

Andruw Monasterio is on an utter tear to start his time helping Biloxi. His 2nd HR in two nights here in the bottom of the first. The man is dealing.

Among random statistical quirks, Jhonnys Cabrera appears to be attempting to become the first 2TO player. I believe he now has 18 plate appearances with seven walks and six strikeouts, both besting all other outcomes combined.

Correction: 20 plate appearances, He's been hit by two pitches as well.
