RHP Alexander Cornielle debuts for the T-Rats as they try to get some consistent offense going. This is an exciting debut as Cornielle has snuck into several of our Top 20's as he's legitimately cut down on walks in the second half of his season while maintaining that stellar mix of strikeout stuff.

I'll also be keeping an eye on RHP Tyler Herb's start in Durham. Herb has absolutely entertained the majority of this season. He's addressed what was plaguing him early in Nashville and is back to attacking hitters - recent results showcase the fine results. I've said it before, but I really hope the Brewers find a way to keep him in the fold - he can just play so many roles on a pitching staff and he's a really good interview.

Carolina's tied 2-2 in their series in Kannapolis and has 19-year old RHP Yujanyer Herrera making his 2nd Low-A start tonight (5 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 2 HBP, 3 K in his debut). 18-year old DH/OF Luis Castillo has a 10-game on-base streak and went 4-for-4 with 2 doubles yesterday:

AA Biloxi is tied 1-1 in their rain-soaked series at home against Chattanooga and has LHP Brandon Knarr (4.38 ERA in AA ball) looking to snap a personal 5-game skid. LF/1B Thomas Dillard has a 10-game on-base streak and gets his 2nd outfield start of 2022:

AAA Nashville leads a quality Durham side 3 games to 1 this week and has RHP Tyler Herb on the mound to continue his excellent stretch (2.03 ERA over last 40 innings). CF Sal Frelick has an 11-game hitting streak and 14-game on-base streak:

Wisconsin trails their series 3-1 at home against Lansing, but 21-year old RHP Alexander Cornielle (3.19 ERA in 101 2/3 Low-A innings) has arrived to make his High-A debut. LF/C/1B Tayden Hall has a 7-game hitting streak and C Darrien Miller has been hit-by-pitch in 3 consecutive games:

Another big win by the Sounds as the bullpen completes 3 IP of scoreless work - Erceg, to Harris to Kelley to finish the game. 3-2 for the good guys. Tyler Herb gets the win going 5 IP with 2 ER - another fine outing for Mr. Versatility. Considering Columbus beat Buffalo, the Sounds will maintain their 3.5 game division lead. That Columbus road series to kick things off post-All Star break (July 4th - 10th), where the Sounds took it 5-1 is proving to be a huge series in the standings. Considering this current road trip in Durham, the Sounds continue to showcase they are the team to beat in the International League. That's now 9-2 over the last 11 games on the road versus two of the top teams. The Bulls, naturally, were in first place...before the Sounds came to town. Lehigh Valley has now snuck past them.

I think that's RHP Ryan Middendorf's first blown anything (?) since he came aboard in the ACL early summer. He loses the 1-0 lead in 1 2/3 IP - he still manages his standard 4 K's but he gave up a deuce. That's a tough pill to swallow for LHP Brandon Knarr, who pitched his finest innings in quite some time - 6 IP, 3 H, 4 BB, 6 K, 0 ER.

Just such limited offense for Wisconsin and Biloxi after promotions, a trade and injuries.

But it looks like Wisconsin should get Chourio back on Sunday:
