what is the scoutiing report or story on Dotson? late round guy out of high school that basically skipped over A ball and High A....has always had a good eye looking at his OBP in his short career...actually has held his own in limited at bats in Double A for a young guy who got thrown into the fire there, but doesnt seem to play enough

I hope they start him back in A ball. Have him go to instructional, work on a regular schedule with some pitching coaches and see what's what. Half a season of him waiting until rookie ball and then getting the promotion to A ball? 

They'll certainly know better, and I have no doubt he's the type of guy that if he figures it out, he'll move quickly, but just give him a chance to get settled in, fill out a little in the off-season and I think he'll be alright.
