Been talking about this for 6 months.  Was hoping to land Chafin, but Britton would be a very good option.

I like the idea of taking a chance on him, but he really is a wildcard at this point and if he's looking to land a major league deal it would force some decisions (from the article):

Here's how all those guys stack up against Britton since 2020:

If he's willing to take a minor league deal and force his way onto the roster, I'm all in. Otherwise, I'm not sure who's the odd man out right now. Can't see them sending Strzelecki down, I think we're sticking with Bush, they seem to like Payamps, it'd be unfortunate to lose Varland or Guerra. Maybe Wilson I guess since they don't seem to be considering him as starter depth?

Not really how it works. Bush would need to have a legit injury that warrants a stay on the 60-day IL. You can't use it to stash guys you are hoping to "get right".
