Optimistic take:  Late-blooming lefty (thanks a lot covid), with strong peripherals in the minors.

It's very likely Sousa is on the MLB roster for 2 days and will be optioned back to AAA when Houser gets activated on Sunday. This isn't an insult to anyone.

I just hope he doesn’t end up pitching this weekend. I’d like to see some of our higher upside bullpen arms get a chance. We have enough mediocrity in the bullpen right now.

And Small just pitched 3 innings so likely wouldn’t be available tonight……

We'll see but somebody has to go Sunday. If a guy like Elvis pitches 3 innings Saturday it could be him. Rea may very well lose his starting spot as well.

We need another lefty in the bullpen.  Give another option to CC than Milner.
