Ease up a bit, man. It’s a legit question to wonder if average launch angle is average or median. And frankly, it’s a good question that I hadn’t considered until right now.

Take for example Max Kepler of the Twins. He’s a lefty bat renown for the IFFB and pounding worms to the right side of the infield. Average those out and he might look pretty good. Put the median on those and it could tell a more accurate story.

I was reacting to the "you can't convince me with numbers"...

I don't know why Chapman wasn't coveted by any contenders.

Because he was throwing 2 MPH slower, was terrible after April last year, proceeded to quit on the Yankees, and was previously suspended under the league's domestic abuse policy...

Sure he can, it’s just a really bad idea.

I mean I just feel bad for the guy. Dude has always hit RHP better than LHP and his ability to hit LHP has totally fallen off a cliff since the start of last season yet he continues to be used in a role where he's facing LHP for a huge portion of his AB.

He's looked way better vs RHP than Winker has this year. .380 xwOBA for Voit compared to Winker's .289 yet everyone wants to dump Voit because the Brewers are using him stupidly.

Maybe Voit would fare better if he got to face more RHP, but Winker has been getting on base and making contact while Voit hasn't been doing anything.

Voit has a .439 OBP vs RHP this year.

I basically ignored the Miller acquisition.

I love it when the front office is smarter than me.

To be fair, he did start out hot in April/May last year and then was brutal the rest of the season.

Sure he is but he can't hit the ball hard and he can't keep up with FB anymore. Voit has at least looked the part against RHP this year. Winker just looks bad basically every time he doesn't get a walk.
