Low-A Carolina has a 7-game winning streak and looks to finish off a road sweep of Lynchburg. 19-year old Yujanyer Herrera (3.60 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 6.9 K/9 in 30 IP) earned a save on Tuesday and gets the start today. DH Jhonnys Cabrera features for the first time in 3 weeks.

I hope what happened to Small last year isn't happening again. He pitched well before being promoted then got rocked in the MLB and was never the same again in AAA last year.

Evidently a chippy series in Charlotte as Skye Bolt gets ejected after a 5th inning strikeout (low ball called for 2nd strike), the 3rd Sound ejected this week.

The good news is we’re leading 7-4 through 6 innings thanks to Patrick Dorrian (2-run shot), Luis Urias (2 hits, 3 RBIs) and Pedro Fernandez (5 IP, 2 R).

Did anyone need another reason to hate the Cardinals? Well, their High-A club just intentionally walked Willy Adames to protect a 5-4 seventh inning lead.

Adames will get his revenge against the MLB club.

Gulp. SIX seventh inning walks have gifted Charlotte 3 runs. Pedro Fernandez (2) stayed in two long, JC Mejia (3) simply didn’t have it today, then Tyson Miller (1) likely got jobbed on the 8th pitch of his first batter. 7-7 after 7 innings.

Eduardo Garcia tied it up 5-5 in Appleton with an RBI double in the bottom of the 8th inning, before struggling Ernesto Martinez ground into a double play with runners on 1st and 3rd.

Taylor Floyd held firm in the top half of the 9th inning. Now Jose Acosta, Robert Moore and Willy Adames get a chance to walk it off.

Adames flied out. Rattlers head to the 10th inning in Appleton.

in Charlotte, Brian Navarreto walked and Michael Reed doubled him home to re-take the lead in the 8th inning. Nashville clings to an 8-7 lead now in the 9th inning; with Thyago Vieira on to try to close it out.

Vieira retired the first two hitters, then yielded two soft singles before giving up a first pitch, walk-off 3-run blast to Adam Haseley. Pain. Tears. Sounds lose 10-8.

Wisconsin can’t cash in the Manfred Man, but Peoria did. Rattlers lose 6-5.

Mudcats trailed 2-0 since the 4th inning, not offering much on offense, but grabbed a run in the top of the 9th inning as three batters reached (Luke Adams walk, singles by Gregory Barrios and Jheremy Vargas).

But Hedbert Perez grounds into a double play to end it. Carolina loses 2-1, despite outhitting the Hillcats 5-2.

Three crushing losses in the span of about 10 minutes today. 💩

It’s left to AA Biloxi to try to salvage a 1-3 day for our minor league clubs and also tie their home series against Pensacola 3-3. RHP Justin Jarvis (2.72 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 10.9 K/9 in 49.2 IP) seeks his 2nd win this week. Tyler Black, Freddy Zamora and Lamar Sparks all remain absent from the lineup.

Probably because in his previous at bat, Adames absolutely CRUSHED a HR that I don't think has landed still!  The at bat before that one, he hit a smashed double down the 3B line.  Willy was feeling it, they knew it, so they took the easy way out and walked him.

They also did pitch to him. The pitcher got down 3-0 and that's when they intentionally walked Adames.

Cam Robinson's nightmare 2023 continues. Faced 5 hitters and only got 1 out. 2 doubles and 2 singles. Score was 6-1 when he entered the game and it's 6-3 with runners on the corners when he left the game with only 1 out.

He's in serious danger of being DFA'd when Urias gets removed from the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

We almost had ourselves a Quero and Chourio HR night but Pensacola's Griffin Conine said "No thanks" to that. Here's him robbing Quero of a HR.

Cam seemed to fall off the cliff and that not good  but it looks like Uribe is doing well in the closer role. This is why  you always look to add arms to the system
