These Loons are giving the T-Rats pitching staff a dose of their disciplined AB's from yesterday. They aren't chasing. They are working counts. RHP Max Lazar is fighting through his first IP. Two down. Men on 1st and 2nd. Pitch count to 26. Still a 0-0 affair in the bottom of the 4th.

The Sounds have scored the first run versus Gwinnett here in game 2. The ol' bases loaded walk off the patient waiting bat of INF Brice Turang. 1-0. Bases still juiced. One down. C Payton Henry at the dish.

Big Bob Moore is heating up. He just absolutely  ripped a long ball to pull the T-Rats within 2-1 after RHP Max Lazar was the recipient of a very uncharacteristic (in 2023, at least) routine throwing error from INF Eduardo Garcia with two outs giving the Loons the chance to plate two runs. That was an absolute no doubter bat drop immediately after launch.

After Big Bob's laser shot, DH Matt Wood singles to RF. He advances on a wild pitch. OF Joe Gray Jr. walks. Men on 1st and 2nd nobody down. We have a mound visit - an unscheduled consultation, if you will. C Darrien Miller to the dish to try and change the tune of his 0-for-2, 2 K first two trips.

Miller takes the four pitch walk. The bases are drippin' sap. Nobody out for struggling 3B Ben Metzinger. Come on Metz. Give us something, baby! And, we have a pitching change.

Nope. The Metzinger struggles continue with a weak lunging pop out into 1B foul territory. All runners stay where they were. Double Play ball is now in the mix. Whewwww.

INF Eduardo Garcia strikes out swinging on a breaking ball center cut and in. 1B Alex Hall falls to 0-2 immediately. Fouls off a pitch. Lays off a couple low offerings then strikes out swinging. That was a huge opportunity squandered by some of the more challenged bats in the line-up.

NOBLETIGER for Wisconsin in the 6th after the Moore leadoff HR. That was probably the best chance they'll have to tie/get the lead against a very good Great Lakes team.

Break it open Brice babyyyyyy. 415 off the bat to dead CF. That was sweet after that botched bunt on pitch 1. 4-0 Sounds as Pannone continues to give meaningful outings as his season progresses.

Big Bob is definitely swinging that familiar tighter and controlled swing. Wonderful to see. He absolutely ripped that fly out deep toward the warning track in LF. That's a 'trust the process' liner. He is flat out swinging it 10x better than his prolonged funk of the past month or so. Great to see.

RHP Tanner Shears getting some High-A action at Great Lakes. Go get em' young fella. RHP Matt Bush taking the hill for Nashville after Pannone's scoreless 5 IP.

Holy hyeeeeeck was Shears just robbed of a glorious 2nd K on a heater at the forking knees. What the hyeeee is that ump looking at? My goodness. Boooooo! No matter, Shears scoffs at such amateurishness. He gets the K swinging. 2 up. 2 K.

RHP Matt Bush walks his first batter after starting 0-2. He gets a deep pop fly to the warning track in LF (330 to the wall). One down. He start batter 3 3-- but has worked the count full. He gets the K swinging. The runner takes 3rd. Two down.

Shears, with his two-seam split grip, is touching 94-95 mph on the gun. He's now plunked two batters in pitchers' counts. He's just losing that control in spurts. Two down still. Let's get through this, Tanner. Well, he just lost one to the backstop his first pitch. Calm those nerves.

Meanwhile, Bush just gave up an RBI single to CF. 4-1 Sounds.

Tanner Shears just absolutely dominated Great Lakes. If it wasn't for the 2 hit batters they would never never sniffed getting on base against him.

Absolutely. AND, man, he overcame two blown strikes by the homeplate ump on gorgeous pitches. AND, he was in favorable counts on those two HBP's. They just got lost on release. A fantastic debut. LOTS to love with his relief stuff. He has a super funky delivery too - very violent. It can't be easy to track that ball. He was touching 94-95 and that breaking ball is dirty.

Who other than to get the ACL Brewers rolling early than INF Juan Baez. He rips a double. Takes 3rd on a balk. Scores on a wild pitch. It's 2-0 now after Johan Barrios knocked across a run as well. RHP Jason Alexander is on the hill for his 2nd rehab outing.

Hey everyone...Jhonny Severino has homered once again!

Serious serious early output in Arizona. This is a huge early development. Oh baseball gahddddds: PLEASE make it last!?!

And here I thought you were going to type:

"Hey everyone...Jason Alexander pitched a clean ACL inning!!!!" 😂

Speaking of RHP Jason Alexander, this is the type of start we'd expect for the savvy vet. That's now 2 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 4 K, 0 ER. Regardless of what Brewers fans think of Alexander, the Brewers and/or Nashville need his dependable arm to eat innings.

I absolutely love watching RHP Thyago Vieira pitch the baseball. However, it is worth noting, he has been hit-and-miss in early June. For the first times all season, in June he's looked mildly 'touchable'. He give up a single, a 2-run HR, a walk and sprinkles in a weak groundout to 2B, a swinging K, and a groundout to 3rd. Tracking.

Sounds win 6-3.

RHP Darling Solano has walked the bases full. He has walked in a run. The bases are still dripping. Nobody down. That's a four walk start to his third frame. 6-1 ACL Crew.

Boy this is a throwback DSL inning for the ACL Brewers pitching staff. 5 runs allowed so far. Still only one down. Still bases juiced. All runs have come via walk or wild pitch. Ahhhhh the good old days of summer.

Disastrous inning in Arizona for the young Brewers. 8 walks and only 1 out. What was once a 6-0 game is now a 6-5 game with bases loaded and 1 out.

Who to rescue his maligned right-hand bullpen arms other than last year's DSL darling, LHP Osbriel Mogollon. He gets the K and he gets the groundout to 3B. Threat is over (for now). 6-5 ACL Crew. What an ugly inning.

Also of note, INF Juan Baez (the robin to the Severino batman) was pulled in a defensive substitution an inning after he was caught stealing 3B. Hopefully, as always, this is just precautionary...but given how the season has gone I'm always nervous when I see these things.
