Yophery Rodriguez may be breaking his funk... wonder if they were tweaking his mechanics a little, but anyway just hit his 4th home run of the season

What Rodriguez has provided is like a 20 year old play with kids in the DSL

These are some amazing DSL games today. Late inning comebacks to go to extra innings. Potential game-winning baserunners getting picked off. Yophery coming through in a big way...

So Yophery Rodriguez is definitely the next Brewers international prospect that is going to get a lot of prospect helium, right?  After today's game he is slashing .280/.436/.492 with a 21.2% BB-rate and a 15.4% K-rate with like 145-150 wRC+ and his swing is just buttery smooth.

2023 first round draft pick 21-year old 3B Brock Wilken made his organizational debut, DHing for the ACL Brewers against the ACL Athletics.

Facing 24-year old RHP JT Ginn (who's rehabbing, normally playing in AA ball), Wilken singled and hit a sac fly. He then walked against a 19-year old before being replaced mid-game.

As to the rest of the game, 19-year old 2B Dylan O'Rae (double, 2 singles, 5 RBIs) and 18-year old SS Juan Baez (3 singles, walk, RBI) continued their stellar play and 17-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez had a solid outing - 5 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 6 Ks - the last 2 runs coming on a 2-run homer with the Brewers safely leading 8-1.

Brewers win 11-7 despite conceding a last inning grand slam.

Anthony Flores gave up 2 ER over his 4.2 IP for DSL1, but also registered 8 of those 14 outs via K.

Now at 39 K | 15 BB over 28.2 IP this year vs 30 K | 22 BB over 34.2 IP last year.

Among lower bonus guys, Brian Sanchez now at 333/462/478 with 18 K | 17 BB in 91 PA for DSL1.

And in his second DSL go round Demetrio Nadal is putting up a ridiculous 379/494/606 with 12 BB | 6 K and 20 SB | 3 CS over 85 PA.

I see where O'Rae, in 33 games, has 25 SB & has only been caught twice. I'm sure part of that is that the rudiments of holding runners and catch & throw mechanics aren't there yet from a lot of those kids, but still............

Only 17 in the ACL and throwing 5.2 IP? Would appear the org has some degree of confidence in Manuel..

21 K vs 6 BB over 28.2 IP is pretty solid for what, a high school junior essentially? BRef says he’s 4.4 years younger than the average player in the ACL.

26 BB vs 17 K over 127 PA this year is a good sign too.
