Final: ACL Brewers 14, ACL Rangers 4
Box Score / Game Log

2B Mike Boeve knocked in the first runs of the game with a 3-run blast in the 1st inning, then put the game out of reach with another 3-run jack in the 4th inning to push the Brewers’ lead to 9-2.

The recent second round draft pick’s earth-shattering 1.779 OPS in 32 plate appearances should hopefully push him to be promoted to Low-A Carolina this week after his astounding eight games in the ACL.

18-year old 3B Juan Baez (3-for-4, walk; .392 AVG, 1.021 OPS) and 19-year old CF Dylan O’Rae (2-for-5, walk, stole 27th base; .358 AVG, .928 OPS) would undoubtedly like to join Boeve on the flight east. Our fingers have remained crossed for them for several weeks.

Starting RHP Manuel Rodriguez (5 IP, 4 R, 6 H, 1 BB, 4 Ks, 1 balk), who turns 18 years old on Monday, had plenty of cushion to work with and earned his fourth Win, but will still wish he’d limited opposition runs to a larger degree. Reliever RHP Henrison Mota (4 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 4 Ks, 1 WP) had one of the best outings of his 3-year minor league career.

SS Cooper Pratt and DH Eric Bitonti combined on a 2-for-9 day with a walk and an RBI, while right fielder Reece Walling connected on his second homer (solo shot) and also singled.

Final: DSL Brewers-1 Squad 4, DSL Brewers-2 Squad 1 (in 7 innings)
Box Score / Game Log

This was a tight contest until the final inning, when center fielder Yophery Rodriguez (2-for-3, double, walk, 2 RBIs) announced the end of his recent mini-slump with a 2-run double to extend Uno Squad’s lead.

However, the performance of the game belonged to 17-year old RHP Gabriel Colmenarez (4 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 4 Ks), who took over after a 94-minute weather delay and faced just 12 batters over four innings of relief work (retiring 11 of his 12, with an inherited runner also caught stealing), earning his third Win of the season.

Starting pitchers RHP Eric Prado (for DSL-1) and Bryan Rivera (for DSL-2) were both solid, each allowing one run and two hits over three innings and four innings of work, respectively.

17-year old DH/UT Pedro Ibarguen hit the first home run of his career, giving his team a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning, before SS Luiyin Alastre tripled home left fielder Argenis Aparicio to tie the game in the next inning. Aparicio also doubled home a run in the 5th inning to give DSL-1 its first lead.
