Would be a good fit, the Dodgers they have lots of middle IF options Busch, Lux, Rojas, Vargas, Vivas but no high end options. I doubt Adames get us Vargas, Busch, or Lux but maybe add in Houser, a reliever, or Burnes in a bigger deal.

Always thought a mega trade of Burnes and Adames to the Dodgers made too much sense to happen. Wouldn’t shock me one bit to see one or both end up in Dodger blue this winter.

The Dodgers would love to dump Lux on us, I hope we are shooting for a lot better than Lux if we trade Adames to the Dodgers.

Lux was a 2.5 war player in 2022, plays solid defense (2B) and is controlled for 3 years. He hit .276/.346/.745, there isn't much power or base stealing ability which does limit his value especially coming off an injury. He is a hometown kid and would be ok, I would probably prefer a bigger upside guy but maybe that os the guy we just traded for from the Phillies. I would go after Vargas or Busch for sure and add a bit more if need be to get them. Also there are problems 6-10 pitchers I would go for before Lux as well.

Personally I wish we would find a way to extend Adames.  Doesn’t look like we will with Burnes/Boras and Woody took himself out of that conversation with his injury.   With all the young players coming up, you can control a big chunk of production on the roster at low expense.

As much as Adames’ hit tool can be aggravating, bat him 6th until he proves otherwise.  He brings intangibles like leadership and clubhouse presence (positive, competitive attitude).   We may be small market but we are still a MLB team that will need to pay core players.

Now if we can get an overpay on a trade from someone, that’s different as is if he’s not willing to sign unless it’s absurd money for a .215 hitter.

He's also coming off a MAJOR (!!!) injury. A torn ACL is bad enough to come back from, especially for a guy who would be playing SS, but Lux also tore his LCL and right hamstring.

Extend him just to bat him 6th?  That would be fine if the dollar amount matched that positioning. Paying him 8-10.5M a season.  You know that isn't happening and thrusts him in to #3-4 when paid the amount he'll end up getting.

You’d have to pay him considerably more than that because of his position, defense, and power relative to his position.  He’s not getting paid based on where he is in the batting order and rightfully so.

Turang at rookie pay will compensate defense. Batting bottom 3rd in order works. Can't afford another weak batting season from Adames for his "pop"  hooray we have another Jose Hernandez. Pay someone with better pop like 1b or 3b or even OF the money Adames commands. We giving him a QO next year? The Dodgers will.
