I've discussed him on more than one occasion in my Minor League reports. For those of you who don't have access to MiLB.TV viewing potentials, here's a quick Brewers PD look at RHP K.C. Hunt (new to the system in 2024):

Has a legitimate 4-to-5 pitch mix. Just a very very interesting arm to grab as a free agent and plug-and-play as a dominant bullpen arm. Given his age, I would opine he is a candidate for promotion some time in the next 3 months.

High-A Wisconsin turns to RHP Patricio Aquino (6.23 ERA in 13 IP) as they need a home win to even their series with Great Lakes. SS Gregory Barrios leads the Midwest League in hits (27) and doubles (10).

I'm still adjusting to the reality the ACL kicks off Saturday. The Crew are facing the Dodgers right off the bat. Let's hope we can repeat!

Aquino's struggles are continuing early. 3 ER through 2 IP - 1 HR. T-Rats trail red hot Great Lakes 3-0 early. AND, what's more? The early damage was via the bat of one T-Rats killing SS Noah Miller. Two-run jack. Yuck.

Aquino just surrendered another long ball. Full count blast over the wall in CF. It was a high corner heater to Newell. The ball is definitely carrying today. Rough start for the suddenly struggling talented righty.

Trailing 4-0, a runner on 3rd with two down, that's a day for Aquino. Just not sharp. T-Rats stranded O'Rae and Lara last inning on 2nd and 1st, respectively. Barrios line out to CF. Adams jam shot pop up to 2B. Wehrle on to try and keep this deficit at 4. He's inherited 6 RISP so far in 2024 and all have scored. Make that 7-of-7. This was on C Ramon Rodriguez who launched an attempted pick-off throw at 3B well into LF. 5-0 Loons. That run will be earned as well as Lara gets a poor read on a very weak shallow pop fly to CF - Lara saw it going deep in the glare of the sun and false stepped toward the wall. Couldn't make the charging catch. Definitely one of those games so far today. That runner on 3B got aboard on a bloop hit as well - the wind is all sorts of problems for the T-Rats. Another bloop flare dies onto the LF grass. Miller challenges Vargas' arm and he throws very poorly to 3B. A better throw nabs him by 9-12 feet.

Yuck fest. Time to move on to other things in my day. Hopefully, they can change their sloppy playstyle while I'm away.

T-Rats fell behind 8-0 despite Great Lakes being 1-for-13 with RISP.

But now Wisconsin has scored 5 unanswered runs in the 6th and 7th innings to make things interesting, with 2-on, 2-out and C Ramon Rodriguez looking to keep the rally going.

Singles from Ramon Rodriguez and Terence Dotson cut the deficit to 8-7. That’s 7 straight runs in 2 innings for Wisconsin without the benefit of an extra-base hit. Go Timber Rattlers!!

Just got back from school, How everything so far today??

Bizarre T-Rats matinee. 3 homers and bad defense staked Great Lakes to a big lead (8-0) that they’ve now largely blown (8-7) via weak singles, walks, HBPs.

Dylan O’Rae just had a bases loaded chance for a clutch hit, but grounded out on a 2-0 count to end the 7th inning.

No minor league moves announced. Not even Haase for Sanchez.

Blalock throwing tonight. He’s gotten great results, but has been lacking Ks.

Jadher Areinamo starts off the bottom of the 9th inning with a single (3-for-4 on the day), so the next 3 T-Rats will get the chance to erase this 9-7 deficit.

Welp. Ramon Rodriguez grounds into a double play.

Then Terence Doston hits a first pitch solo homer. 9-8. 2 outs. Jheremy Vargas up to extend this thing.

Vargas is hit by a 1-1 pitch, so Dylan O’Rae gets a second chance for a late inning clutch hit.

No dice. He grounds to short for the 2nd time in 3 innings, this time for a game-ending force out.

Good spirit, but it’s a loss. Credit the hitters with extending at-bats and Manfredi with K’ing 7 in 3 innings after giving up a solo homer to the first batter he faced (Wisconsinite Noah Miller).

A guy at the t-rats game this afternoon told me that Noah Miller is Owen Miller's brother.  I had no idea...

During the Brewers-Rays game they talked about Sanchez briefly. It sounds like they rolled the dice today & are waiting to see how Sanchez feels after the off day Thursday. I'm sure Haase has his toothbrush packed.

Low-A Carolina is 16-6 and seeks a 2-0 home series lead over Columbia. 19-year old RHP Daniel Corniel (3.86 ERA with 13 Ks in 11.2 IP) makes his 4th start. Three more hits yesterday pushed 3B Juan Baez into a tie for the league lead in hits (27).

The AA Shuckers have lost 6 of 7 games and turn to RHP Bradley Blalock (1.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 6.8 K/9 in 20 IP) for tonight’s series opener at Tennessee. Biloxi has just 6 homers to this point in the season vs. 24 for the Smokies.

Noah Miller is absolutely killing the T-Rats through 2 games. Unreal.

Guilarte goes down looking on an outside heater. Mudcats have K'd 4 times through 3 innings and trail 1-0 headed into the 4th frame.
