Thank God 1/2 you guys don't judge the Brewers like the Packers because it is night and day.

I don't know what this means. But I do know the Packers could also go 30 straight innings without scoring a run on the Cubs starting pitchers.

After a forgettable day at the plate Tuesday & a now a tough lefty throwing, I expected Turang to give way to Monasterio tonight. I'm not complaining though. Murphy might be settling into a philosophy of putting a strong defensive team on the field & if it leads to L vs L matchups, it hopefully only goes a couple times through the order (tomorrow afternoon would be a possible outlier of course, with no days off this week).

Hoskins being out kinda exacerbates this.

Why not just let him catch both? Contreras has been slumping with the bat. His xwOBA over his last 50 PA is .307. Maybe shown signs of fatigue 2 months into the year. He's on pace to catch almost 240 more innings than last year.

I don’t know…..my guess is they want to keep the option of pinch hitting/running  for Sanchez without losing the DH at some point later in  the game..

I’m not necessarily defending it but that is my guess……..I’m not sure he is wearing down……guys go through periods where they aren’t swinging well…..or just run into some good pitching.

I think WC and the staff need to monitor how he is feeling…… it would be a good question for both Murphy and Contreras to address.

Would be interesting to know the percentage of times the Brewers give up a run the immediate half inning after they score and how they compare to the rest of MLB.

Seems to happen a lot.

Wilson looks like crap tonight.

Both Happ and Swanson would have struck out looking if the ump gave Wilson the same strike zone he gave Imanaga in the first.
